Iron Chef Theme ingredient: lamb!
With the topic of lamb having come up several times over the weekend (notably, Pocahontas' favorite food item from her trip to China was a lamb skewer), I figured I would post about last week's lamb extravaganza when I had some friends come over for dinner on Thursday night. I am a big fan of lamb (and was in possession of a sizable slab of it after a Grocery Spree). Here is what we had:Entrees: baked lamb chops with sauteed mushrooms rosemary/garlic glazed lamb chops chinese-style lamb curry
Sides: broccoli/cauliflower in a tuscan herb sauce sour cream and chives mashed potatoes brown rice
Dessert: tiramisu (courtesy of Shelley/Allen) All in all, it took about 2 hours for me to prepare the meal. The difficulty in the situation was the fact that I only have 2 pieces of cookware: a 1-quart saucepan and a 12" wok. But I think the food ended up tasting pretty good. My favorite was the baked lamb chops.. the breading on them was quite tasty. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the food. In its stead, here's a token picture featuring a lamb:

During dinner, we talked a bit about various comedians. So afterwards, we humored ourselves by watching stand-up routines of Mitch Hedberg and Russell Peters.
