Now and Then
Lately, it's been quite (and unusually) cold here in Portland, with the temperature dipping into the mid-20's overnight. Despite the chilly weather (or perhaps because of it), Amara and I decided to partake in some wintery fun on Friday by going ice skating. It was a rockin' fun time indeed since the ice rink features "Rock 'n' Skate" during their evening skating sessions on the weekends.
After skating, we were going to enjoy some TCBY (since I have a bunch of gift certificates), but sadly, they were closed. So instead, we picked up some vanilla flavored soy-based ice cream, frozen strawberries, frozen raspberries, a bottle of cran-raspberry juice, and a can of strawberry nectar and headed back to her place to make some delicious fruit smoothies. They turned out quite to be quite tasty and refreshing (and healthy, too!).
