Stepping Along
A bunch of people have been telling me that our USMLE Step 1 results were available for checking online and that score reports should be arriving soon. Personally, I'm not one of those eager folks that has to check these kinds of things right away. So, I decided to wait until the score report came in the mail to find out how I did. But since I signed up for my test using my permanent address in San Diego, I probably won't be the first person to know my score.
When I got a call earlier today and saw on my phone that it was my mom, I had a hunch that she was calling me about my Step 1 results. That said, I listened closely to her tone of voice when she first greeted me to get an idea of how I did. She didn't sound worried or upset, so that was a relief. Anyway, the report had arrived, and she was letting me know about it.. I passed (praise God)! She'll be forwarding the report to me so I can see the breakdown, but it's good to know that it's truly done and over with (at least until Step 2 comes along next year).
