Hike, Hike
After taking an exam on Monday morning and going to a MedNet discussion session (we're in small groups of 10-12 people and talk about issues with other 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year med students), I ran into a friend on my way home. On a whim, we decided to go out for a hike that afternoon since the weather was so pleasant. Weighing our options, we chose to head out to the Columbia River Gorge since it has some great trails with lovely views when you reach your destination. We were not disappointed.. the hike was invigorating and fun!
The rock cliffs of Angels Rest, accessible from a well-maintained trail, tower 1,500 feet above the Columbia River Gorge in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The trail is certain to test your aerobic endurance but includes enough alluring distractions to keep your mind off the elevation gain. As a reward for all of your hard work, there is a first-rate view of the Columbia River Gorge from the top. Trail Surface: Dirt trail with occasional rocky and muddy sections.
