As The World Turns
With another revolution around the sun, another year has passed. And with it, I am now a year older and have reached the quarter century mark. Thanks to everybody who called, wrote, and wished me well.
Earlier tonight, I was pleasantly surprised by a gathering of friends at dinner. My friend Mike set me up pretty well. A few days ago, he was telling me that he was going out with a friend on Friday, and that she was going to bring a friend. So, he recruited me to go with him and asked me to come along. After he picked me up, that's what I was expecting. Even in the car, I was asking him about the girls and he was telling me some stuff (he even made up names: Jane and Kathy). When we got to the restaurant, a bunch of friends surprised me for my birthday. I had a very good time. For dinner, we had some good tabletop Korean BBQ and then afterwards, we headed out for three hours of bowling fun with "Rock-It-Bowling" (sorta like disco bowling). I got 4 games in, averaging about 129 (my high for the night was 166).
It would be nice to think that I was getting wiser as I got older. But that may not be the case.. we'll see!
