A Purpose Driven Yobo
Some good friends gave me a copy of Rick Warren's "A Purpose Driven Life" for Christmas, and until now, it's just been sitting on my "bookshelf" (a microwave box and a speaker box placed on their sides with a lamp box strewn across the top). I started reading it on Saturday, at the pace of roughly 3 days at a time (the book is designed to be read chapter by chapter over 40 days). So far, so good. I can see how this would be a good devotional. There are some good lessons to be taken from this book, mostly simple truths (i.e. chapter one entitled, "it's not about you"). Hopefully, I'll be able to glean more from the book as I continue reading it.

Songtrack
Hearing new/popular songs in TV shows just makes me appreciate them more. Like catching Howie Day's "Collide" at the end of a Scrubs episode. Or listening to Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" at the end of a Grey's Anatomy episode. Both of these songs are catchy and highly recommended.

Scrubs
Ironically, I'm not talking about the NBC sitcom tv show (though, that's probably what you'd expect from me, being a med student and all..heh). So, what am I referring to? My toilet.. over the weekend, I bought a quality Rubbermaid brush and some Clorox cleaner to give my toilet a good scrubbing. But still, after getting the "royal treatment," it's not completely gleaming. Looks like I'll have to go another round.

ScenTerrific
Bought some different shampoo (let's just say that it's no longer "snowing" wherever I go) at Target, mainly because it was on sale. Compared to my old shampoo, I really like the scent of it. Not that the old one wasn't good, it's just nice to have a change of pace. It especially makes a difference when I'm It's something that I would definitely recommend trying (switching shampoos for a new scent).

Jock Costume
The subtitle is a crappy pun.. If you couldn't tell (and I don't blame you), I was going for a play on the name "Jacques Cousteau." Anyway, per an online sale at Jockey.com, I ended up buying two additional long sleeve shirts, to warm me on those lonely nights (true, but not in the way that you might be thinking). Here they are:

Jockey'd

Quality stuff and only $10 each. Plus, they go well with my fleece pants.. =)
