Foods For Thoughts
Studying Under the Golden Arches
With a hankering for some nuggets on Thursday night, I went out with the plan of just getting some food to go and returning home to study. The closest McDonald's is located downtown, but it has no drive-thru. So, after I parked my car and headed in, I realized that this location had a pretty nice dining room, being large and clean (and relatively empty, too). Thus, I made an executive decision to get my 20-piece for "dine-in" and spent the next two hours eating and studying to the groovy sounds of some 60's-era oldies. Is this typical of med students? I think not..
Bobalicious
Since moving to Portland, I was ignorant to where I could get some pearl milk tea (as well as other good Asian foods). As it turns out, there is a neat site to find boba places called Bobafind. So, on Friday, I got a chance to sample one of the places listed in Hillsboro called Bubble Bubble Tea. It was pretty good. The tapioca balls were of quality consistency (not too soft, not too chewy), and the tea was flavorful. Plus, the quantity was satisfying (it came in a large cup, about 50% bigger than normal).
