Double Whammy
I started feeling sick on Monday with just a sore throat and a stuff nose, bit it got progressively worse throughout this week with the addition of nasty phlegm and a fever. Last night, I felt like I was going to die. My heart was racing, I had a splitting headache, and my body was burning up (the medical term for this is hyperthermia). In my desperation (and sleeplessness), I looked up online at emedicine.com to see what I might be suffering from and what possible things could still happen. What I found was not encouraging. Apparently, my hyperthermia and hypertension could result in a stroke or an intracranial hemmorhage (possibly fatal!). Fortunately, I got through the night and even took an exam this morning.
The sucky thing now, though, is that the power is currently out in my apartment (I'm typing this from a computer at the student lounge). Now that I'm done with my test and being sick, I'd just like to relax with some tv. Grr.. anyway, I hope it gets fixed soon.
