A New Day Has Come
Spring break was great, but alas, it's over.. back to school!
The Empty Tomb
Happy (belated) Easter! The nice thing about Easter is that it marks an occasion which has forever-far-reaching implications. On Sunday, I heard a great message by Pastor Josh Chien at Living Stones Christian Church supporting the accuracy of the historical event of Christ's resurrection. In consideration of the truth, it should be a challenge to those who do not believe in Jesus as God's son. For those interested in finding out more, I highly recommend the Lee Strobel books "The Case for Christ," "The Case for Faith," and his newest, "The Case for a Creator." Originally a non-believing investigative journalist trying to disprove Christian beliefs, his research led him to the undeniable truth and his subsequent conversion.

While in the Bay Area, I went beans (instead of "nuts") at 99 Ranch and bought a ton of soybean products to bring back up to Portland. This includes numerous packages of dried tofu snacks (various flavors) and several cases of Mogami soymilk (only $0.88 per quart and it is oh so rich/creamy). I think I will be eating something containing soy every day for a while.. I just hope I don't OD (overdose) on it.
Dashing Through the Snow
OK, so it wasn't as bad as the picture below (which was actually taken using my cell phone while driving to a ski-trip to Bend, OR), but I did traverse some snowy territory while driving back up to Portland after my spring break. Having to drive through varied climates has the effect of making me feel farther away.
