6,500,000 Words
If a picture's worth a thousand words, call me Verbose, for I am a man of many photos, and thus, like an essay that drones on and on. While cleaning up my hard drive and making some back-ups, I realized that I have a lot of digital pictures. Currently, I have more than 6,500 pictures, dating all the way back to my senior year of high school. With a very rough calculation (unlike what you'd want to do for figuring out the loading and maintenance doses of a drug such as lidocaine to treat ventricular tachycardia), that comes out to averaging 3 pictures every day for the past 6 1/2 years. Of course, the truth of the matter is that I didn't take all of the pictures that are on my computer. Also, to be more accurate, specific occasions tend to generate a plethora of pictures while most days are, in fact, pictureless. I just find it nice to have lotsa pictures because they can be story-tellers by conjuring up fond memories and reminding one of familiar faces and good times.
(To avoid the irony of a pictureless post about pictures, I'm including this)
To pictures: 'Hip hip, hooray!'
