Give Me a Break
Here at OHSU, the cut-off for an "Honors" grade is 90% and above, with the "Near Honors" range being a small window from 85-89%, and a passing grade below 85% being designated as "Satisfactory." While I haven't been in real contention for getting honors grades (a pitiful circumstance in itself, *sigh*), I have been fighting to get near honors in the final stretches of my classes. So far, it's been a losing battle with a single (but critical) casualty: me. How close have I gotten in the two courses we've already finished? 84.37% and 84.13%. Within striking distance, but still whiffing. At this point, it seems that I'm destined for the land of satisfactory-ity. Something's gotta give, but man, it feels like I just can't get a break.. in school, in life.. so depressing.
