Worth a Thousand Words

Had my last day of preceptorship with the voice doctor. I wasn't sure what is considered appropriate as professional etiquette, so I decided to get some parting gifts. I brought some yellow poinsettias for the office and a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates for the doctor and the nurse/receptionist. If you want to get a sense of the kind of stuff I saw this term, you can check out his website at www.voicedoctor.net. No clinical experience would be complete without finishing with a picture:

Went to the Lloyd Center mall earlier today and enjoyed an inappropriately named but tasty "Giant Gyro" (seemed pretty normal-sized to me). Also, I stopped by the Footlocker and ended up getting some new running shoes. They are the Asics GT-2090. The complex description of features can be summed up into one word: quality. Here I am breaking in these bad boys in my studio apartment (too bad for you the pictures don't go up any higher, or else you could get a glimpse of my killer calves):

Got tofu? I do, and lots of it. As one of the products of the amazing soybean, it's notably healthy and delectable. At the Japanese supermarket, I stocked up on various brands to figure out which one I like best. My preferred way of eating tofu is how my mom used to serve it while growing up. Using "soft" or "silken" tofu, you cut it up neatly into bite-size chunks, then season it with soy sauce and sesame oil. The final (magic) ingredient is to sprinkle bonito-flavored soup stock on top. Good stuff! I also picked up some more Noodle King brand instant noodles (with flavors like lobster and crab, how could I resist?). It's strange, because they change their packaging all the time. Literally, everytime I buy it, the package looks slightly different (but I'm not fooled). Unbelievable as it may be, I don't get paid for the numerous pictorial endorsements that are featured here (although I should):

Uwajimaya? (or Yobo's?)
