A New Low
What is the most random thing you have done because you found yourself bored? Tonight, I sank to a new low.. With so much going on these days, it's hard to imagine how I could actually find myself at a loss for something to do. Here are some things that could happen at 10pm on a Thursday night:
I could have been..
..cool and go check out the bar/club scene. Things are just starting to pick up.
..studious and typed up the notes that I just rewrote earlier in neater handwriting, because there's no such thing as "too neat."
..intellectually refined and grabbed my favorite book and enjoy it next (but not too close) to a fire.
..sporty and found myself a pick-up game of b-ball at the local high school and get rocked by the taller/faster/better players there.
..pseudo-sporty and bust out some sports video game on my computer and riddle my fingers numb.
..pop-cultured and tuned into the various sitcoms, dramas, and reality tv shows on the tube.
Etc.
You get the idea. But if you're me, rather than any of the above, you end up taking a 15 minute walk by yourself around your neighborhood in sandals for the purpose of putting something into the postal dropbox that is only 3 minutes away while eating an almost overripe shinseki pear the entire time, and then going home and writing about it on your blog. A new low, I tell you.
