Hulky DOMSination

As a future doctor, I'd like to set a good example by staying in shape. It's been a long time since I've been motivated enough to work-out really hard, but yesterday, I finally did it. That said, I got a great workout. But for every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction. My body (in the form of muscles and bones) has chosen to make its presence known to me by getting tender and sore. This condition actually has a name, called delayed-onset muscle soreness, or DOMS for short. You can read more about it here. So, what do I put my body through that gets me like this? Three sets of each of lat pull downs, military press, bicep curls, pec fly, seated rows, bench press, incline sit-ups, and finish up with 20 minutes of cardio (either on a treadmill or elliptical machine). The fitness center happens to be at the bottom of a hill, just walking home ends up being a workout, too (going up the equivalent of what I estimate to be 28 flights of stairs, no joke).

During my long trek back to my apartment, I realized that I needed to drop something off in the Basic Sciences building. This required me to take a short detour. While inside, however, I ran into a classmate of mine who was filling in her lecture notes. Though I don't know much about her, I do know that she's from "Minne-soh-ta" and that she is one of the few attractive girls around here. She looks kinda like a younger version of Jennifer Connelly (this was confirmed having just watched "Hulk" recently, a movie I found to be incoherent at times but entertaining nonetheless). Sporting an undershirt and frazzled hair, I must've looked strange, having just come from the gym (do girls dig sweaty guys?). Pulling up a chair next to her, I got to have a pleasant conversation with her. Anyway, my "short detour" took almost an hour, but I consider it to be the highlight of my week.
