Armageddon
The geographic location given in the book of Revelation (16:16)
for the climactic battle between Christ and Antichrist, with
Christ's victory ushering in his thousand-year reign on Earth.
Named after the hill near the town of Megiddo in Palestine,
which due to its strategic location overlooking major military
and trade routes was the site of many ancient battles.

Many cable tv channels have the tendency to replay the same movie several nights in a row. Consequently, I had the opportunity to enjoy Armageddon for the third time in three days (another thing which occurred in multiples was me eating string beans as a part of my dinner each night from Thursday to Sunday). Now, that's a quality movie. What do I like about it? The cast, the characters, the action, the special effects, the musical score, the suspense, and yes, the tear-jerking moments. For me, what qualifies as a tear-jerking moment is not necessarily one where I end up bawling, but it's one that gets me good and makes me almost cry. Like when Bruce Willis' character takes over for Ben Affleck's in being the one to sacrifice himself and detonate the nuke, now that was touching.
One of my favorite lines is when Ben Affleck says, "Harry will do it. I know it. He doesn't know how to fail." (This is when the shuttle is leaving the asteroid and Bruce Willis has to detonate the nuke before the asteroid reaches the zero barrier, but all the while he is being whipped around by some cosmic storms or something.) I like it so much because it's something that would be truly awesome to be remembered by. Having the respect and confidence of those around you so much that they would say such a thing is cool.
Anyway, here's an article about how they are planning to deal with the asteroid problem in real life.
