Hey Who?

Exaggerator

Chinese people tend to exaggerate. In addition to doing so on a personal level (saying stuff like, "the world of Yobo.. a life in mono"), this seems to have reached the commercial environment of food packaging. While at the 99 Ranch in Milpitas, I picked up a case (containing six 1 liter cartons) of Mogami brand sweetened soymilk. Only $0.99 each! Anyway, it surprised me to find printed on the box, "Fragile as glass, DO NOT CUT." How can a thick cardboard box containing cartons of soymilk be as fragile as glass? Simply put, it's not.

A Perfect Portion

Ever find yourself rationing out your cereal? It sucks when you're in the mood for some cereal and you bust out your favorite box of cereal only to find that there's a mere pittance left inside. I had a close call.. The box of Oatmeal Crisp with Almonds I have had approximately 2 bowls worth of cereal left in it. Accidentally, I poured out a whole bunch, leaving less than a bowlful left in the box. Realizing this, I ended up pouring some cereal back into the box (a tricky feat) to save it for later. On a side note, eating cereal with whole milk (as opposed to lowfat or nonfat) makes it taste a LOT better.

1.6 x Yoshinoya

I found myself eating my weight in Yoshinoya (ok, so I didn't really eat my weight's worth in Yoshinoya.. see above) today for lunch. I had two beef bowls of Yoshinoya, a large one and a regular one. Cost me quite a bit.. but it was good. Mmm.. Yoshinoya. I should scrounge up some capital and open up a franchise in Portland (I don't think they have them up there).
