The Door is Closed
Two days ago, I received a response from UC Davis (finally). Disappointingly, it came in the form of an e-mail, a relatively impersonal and cheap (actually the cheapest), as well as informal, mode of communication. As you can probably tell from the title of this post, it turns out that I was not accepted. That said, I am now 100% on my way up to Portland, Oregon in August. Sometimes it's nice to have doors closed to help facilitate decisions, but usually I'd rather have them be opened so that I can decide for myself. In this case, I'm just glad that my "medical schools admissions process" has come to a conclusion. Thanks to everybody who has supported me in the way of prayer, offering a place to stay (near or far), or just through encouragement/affirmation.
