Wet My Belly
..the inside, that is. No, I didn't end up spilling stuff on myself again today. Rather, we had a company picnic (or as the person here wrote it, "pic-nic") in this grassy area behind our building. It was good because there were fruits, veggies, salads, breads, meats/cheeses, cookies, and plenty of ice-cold beverages. Even beer! At first, I felt awkward downing a brewski on company time (drinking at work is a weird concept to me), but eventually I decided that a beer would compliment my meal refreshingly (that was in addition to the Sprite I already had because, you know, I gotta obey my thirst). I made myself a tall sandwich bursting with turkey and avocado (a so-called "California Club," minus the bacon). Yum.. the best part was that it was free! Although the picnic was able to eat up a good 2 hour chunk of time, it still feels like a long day since I got here early and will be leaving a little later (I'm running an experiment with an 7-8 hour incubation, which isn't long enough to let it go overnight, but just long enough to extend my stay at work).
