Letter of Rec (for myself)
After much procrastination, I have finally decided to write a letter to UC Davis and ask them to re-review my application for admission. As many of you know, I interviewed there in November, which was a LONG TIME ago. Since then, my application has been put "on hold for admission." This means that they haven't made a final decision about me. It's like when a girl tells you that you that she wants to be single for now. The door isn't open, but it hasn't been closed yet either. The POSSIBILITY is still there. Anyway, I should've written them a long time ago, but like I said, I've been procrastinating. Thanks to Oregon Duck for giving me some good advice and perspective on how to present myself (she's on the admissions committee for her program at U Oregon). I'm going to send it out tomorrow and perhaps I'll be able to hear something from them next week. Perhaps my words will carry some weight, considering that I am a decent applicant who has already been admitted to other programs.
