Commercial Ugh

I just saw one of the most annoying, yet catchy commercials again. It's one of those where you forget how annoying it is until you see it again. The tune is so catchy, though, that you sometimes find yourself singing it.. ugh. Anyway, it's the one for Swoops (a snack food) with the people dancing around having these chocolate-covered chip-like things, singing "swoops, there it is!" to the tune of "Whoomp There It Is." Jenny is familiar with this commercial (and it's corresponding annoyingness) because Josh sometimes goes around echoing the jingle.

By far, snack foods and cereal commercials tend to be the most stupid. Like those old Apple Jacks commercials where the kids would be like, "we love Apple Jacks," and then the older kids or parents would say, "why do they call them apple jacks?" Then the kids would be stumped since Apple Jacks do have apple flavor, there's nothing "jack" about them (except the commercials). Or the Trix commercials where "silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!".. just give the poor rabbit some Trix. Or the Lucky Charms commercials, where the kids steal the marshmellows from Lucky the Leprechaun. Kids can be so mean.

In other genres, there's that one Geico commercial where it's soap opera style and depicts a man talking to a woman (apparently he is dating her and another woman at the same time). He says to her, "I have some good news" and the woman asks "so you're going to leave Jessica?" He replies, "No, I just saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico." Then the woman looks all disappointed and turns her back on the guy. The guy retorts, "I saved.. I thought that meant something to you!"

Another stupid commercial that comes to mind is the one for Fancy Feast (that's cat food) where the guy actually eats cat food. It shows a guy at a fancy dinner party or something, and while he is standing at the food table with some pate like thing on a cracker he says to the lady, "you have good taste!" The woman then proceeds to take the spread and puts it on the ground next to the cat.

Which commercials are the most annoying/dumb to you?
