In the Presence of God
At the end of every "Our Daily Bread" daily devotional, there's a clincher line that sort of summarizes the main point of the message for that day. Today's was:
"Safety is not found in the absence of danger but in the presence of God."
When I first read that, I realized that the sentence construction it used was quite creative, and something that could definitely be applied to many other ideas. So I came up with the following related clinchers:
Security is not found in the absence of uncertainty but in the presence of God.
Peace is not found in the absence of turmoil but in the presence of God.
Joy is not found in the absence of suffering but in the presence of God.
