Bugging
While standing in line at Yoshinoya today, my co-worker and I noticed that there was a spider crawling on the back of the man in front of us. There were several courses of action we could take: 1) Casually swat the bugger off ourselves (without the guy noticing), 2) Give the guy notice that we were going to swat the bugger off, 3) Tell the guy and let him decide what to do about it (he could ask us to swat it off or not). It's one of those awkward situations because even if we wanted to be helpful, you can't just go on and swat a bug off a person. It's not polite. So, we ended up going with number three.. it was still pretty funny, though. Imagine somebody coming up to you and saying, "Um, excuse me.. you've got a spider on your back.." The guy was clearly startled, at which point he swatted the spider off himself, and then smushed it into the ground (not the cleanest move, considering that we're still inside Yoshinoya).
