One For Sorrow
I recently came across some songs I really like. One of them is Evanescence, "My Immortal," which is featured on the Daredevil movie soundtrack. The song is a slower song with piano and a violin in the background. Here are the lyrics. The other song is the last track of Britney Spears' In the Zone cd, "Everytime." Turns out that a lot of the songs I come to like end up being sad. Sometimes, part of what I like about the song is the meaningful/sad lyrics, but other times, it's just coincidence that the song is somewhat of a downer. Take for example Steps, "One For Sorrow." Uppity sounding song with a dance beat and a catchy melody, but the situation in the song is actually melancholy: lyrics.
