Inconceivable
A royal flush comes up once in a blue moon. It is so rare, that most poker players (even professionals) have never even seen one in their lifetimes of playing because the odds are so highly stacked against it. That said, I actually had one tonight while playing Texas Hold 'Em at a co-workers' place. During one round, starting with the King and 10 of spades, I somehow managed to end up a royal flush of spades (Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 of spades). Amazing! Now, if only I were this lucky in other more important aspects of my life.. but at least there's hope. I used to think that royal flushes were, for all intents and purposes, impossible to get. Perhaps God is showing me that no matter how improbable something is, it is still possible with Him. Reminds me that one of my prayer requests from a year ago was to "pray for the impossible." Seems like there may be something to that..
