Fast Food News

Watching commercials for new advertised specials always gets me in the mood for getting some. Like the Arby's Beef and Provolone sandwich. Or Long John Silver's lobster crabcakes. You can get 2 crabcakes, 1 piece of fish, 2 battered fish, fries, and a drink for $3.99. Amazing! Too bad the closest LSJ is like 50 miles away..

Unfortunately, not all new ideas are that good. Like the Nuevo white-meat McDonald's chicken McNuggets. For only getting white-meat, you get less breading, a drier nugget, and less meat. I was researching it (I was curious to see if my assessment was correct), and found out that originally, a 20 piece would be 11.2 oz of meat. Now, however, a 20 piece is only 10 oz of meat. That's a 10% reduction, or in nugget-equivalents.. it's like you lose 2 whole nuggets worth of meat! The only saving point is that they are supposed to be more healthy (which makes sense since you end up eating less).
