Vehicle License Fee (VLF)
Because of Governor Schwarzenegger, the VLF increase has been repealed. And just in time since originally, my registration of a whopping $370 (dude, I drive a Camry) was due on 12/16/03. If you already received your notice and your registration is due, you don't need to submit the full amount listed on the form. Instead, go to this DMV Calculator website to figure out how much you really owe. Mine (thankfully) went down to (a more reasonable) $150.
