Exhaustion

I am unbelievably tired and unimaginably fatigued. Ever feel that way? It got to a point today where I had that feeling of being inebriated, my legs felt soft and my head felt heavy. My eyelids aren't on the brink of closing, so I know I'm not particularly sleepy. Not sure what's up. I'm gonna take a shower and get some ZzZzz's.

Update: (Wed Oct 08, 02:22 PM)
Since I had to do laundry last night, I ended up not going to sleep early. I did take a shower, but then I did some work. Ironic, huh? I was so full after dinner last night (I was SO hungry). In lieu of sleeping, I worked on medical school applications. Finished a whole bunch, too (6 to be exact). I just mailed them today at lunch. Now I'm down to just 1. The elusive one.. it happens to be the one from Pritzker (University of Chicago) that has the longest essays.

I was thinking that getting into medical school is sorta like catching a unicorn. It's something that takes a long time and ends up being quite hard to do, assuming that you ever succeed in doing so. If you remember the movie, Gone in 60 Seconds, it's like the '67 Shelby GT500 (Eleanor) was to Memphis Raines (played by Nicholas Cage). Every time he tried to boost that car, something would go wrong, and he would get caught. Eleanor was a unicorn to Memphis.

There are other things that mimic the idea of catching a unicorn. For the single men out there, as it turns out, getting a girlfriend is also like catching a unicorn. Some women are just so elusive.
