Passport-style Pics
When applying to med schools, many of the secondaries ask for you to attach a 2" x 2" picture as a part of your application. I find that suspicious.. why do they need to know what you look like? Will they be giving preference if you look good? The thought crossed my mind to take a picture of myself without a shirt while flexing, but I didn't want to entice them too much. Another cool idea I had was to don a lab coat, borrow a stethoscope from downstairs, and pose as a doctor for my picture. Perhaps if med schools saw that I already looked like a doctor, they might think to themselves, "hey, this guy looks like he'd be a decent doctor.. we should let him in!"
Anyway, taking passport pics is fairly expensive (close to $10 if you go to some place), so I decided to do what I did last time, which is to take a picture on my digital camera and then upload it to a site for it to be developed onto photo paper. At $0.25 a print, it's much more economical. In fact, I just signed up at Snapfish.com (if you're planning to sign-up, let me know so that I can get 10 more free prints), a decent site that gives you your first 10 prints for FREE (not including shipping, which was $1.49). I haven't gotten digital camera prints in a while, so I took advantage and got a bunch of group pics developed at the same time.
Here's my pic along with 5 wannabe me's (I'm the one in the bottom middle).
