Boxer Briefs
(disclaimer: this entry is rated pg-13)
The new pack of underwear I brought back from San Diego came with a surprise inside. Besides the 6 pairs (I don't quite understand why they're called "pairs" when it's just a single piece) of cotton briefs, there was also a FREE dyed boxer brief. I was excited at first (because free stuff is cool), but after wearing it for a day, I've come to realize that I will never actually buy this product. As the name suggests, a boxer brief is a cross between a boxer and a brief. Boxers are designed to be more stylish and give more freedom, while briefs are designed to provide support. Unfortunately, the boxer brief lacks in both regards. It was neither stylish or supportive. Plus, the fact that it has "legs" makes it fairly uncomfy (somewhat like wearing bike shorts all day).
In looking for a picture to put on here to illustrate what a boxer brief is, I was browsing various sites. I mostly came across sites like this:
boxer brief site [**warning**]
(If you can imagine, that site isn't the best thing to have on the screen at work. I was really glad nobody walked by while I was browing. Needless to say, I closed those windows pretty quickly.)
One thing I noticed about most boxer brief pics is that they usually feature really buff guys with stuffed crotches. A simple picture of what the actual underwear looks like (minus the male model) would suffice. What a turn-off, especially to the people who would actually be buying boxer briefs: guys. I wonder if girls feel the same thing about lingerie ads..
