It's like raining so hard out there right now. A couple of hours ago, the low rumble of thunder shook our entire building (almost like an earthquake). There's even flooding in various parts of the area. I don't usually mind hydroplaning (you know, when your car starts skidding across the surface of some water..it's pretty fun), but I know that driving through pools of water can't be good for a car (especially a new one). And I'm about to get out onto the 101 (which is notorious for accidents) and head home. While there is so much traffic on the 101 that you'd figure rain wouldn't even have the chance to hit the ground, it's one of those freeways which wasn't designed too well. The freeway doesn't effectively channel away water, and thus, all of the cars start splashing and creating that mistyness from their tires. Anyhow, this will probably end up being a long and interesting trip.
