Do you know what a P-value greater than 0.05 means? (Cindy and some other statistically-educated people probably do..) It means that the data I have is insignificant. It means that the time I spent looking at 90+ striata (plural for striatum, which is a part of the brain) under a microscope proves nothing. It means that I have a lot more work to do. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: counting cells is no fun. For those who know this already, I feel for you. In my mind, I just figure there ought to be a better way..like say a computer doing the same thing, much faster and even more accurately than I do. I guess the redeeming quality of counting cells is that it's a peaceful and quiet activity, which allows me to ponder on the finer things in life..(see Song of Solomon 4:1-7)
