Went running last night.. the area I live in is so nice and peaceful and quiet at night. I can actually jog near the water, because our apartment is along one side of the San Francisco Bay, and there's a good view of the San Mateo Bridge. Everytime I go running here, I extend my course a little farther out and try exploring the area. Almost got lost last night.. basically, there are only certain places that you can cross the water over these small bridges. After a while, I ended up on the other side of the inlet, wondering how to get back. I just followed the "coast" and eventually got to a place where I could cross back. The thought of jumping in the water and swimming across was tempting (since the shortest distance between two points is a straight-line.. except if you've watched the movie Event Horizon, they say the shortest distance between two points is zero, which I guess is true if the two points were one and the same). Because of that, my run lasted a long long time. Still enjoyable, though. (Side note: my running shoes are like awesome.. so cushiony and comfortable!)
