Here I am again..it's 4pm on Sunday afternoon..and I'm at WORK. Drove down from Berkeley (to Sunnyvale) after having brunch in the Unit 1 DC with Moses, Winston, and Nancy. Picked up Vince's Playstation 2 from our friend Annie's place, too. Now we can do something else besides watching tv..we've got interactive entertainment!
Hanging out with Winston in Moses' dorm room, we watched a couple of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fights. The fighting styles all varied, but a lot of them were fairly freeform (with no-hold-barred fighting, you generally try to do whatever you can). Those guys are pretty hardcore. Fighting them wouldn't be very fun. I think I'd have a tough time beating them.
Yesterday, I went with Jenn, Vince, Chia, Harvard, Frances, Edena, and Jonathan to the Santana Row shopping center. It's down in San Jose really close to Valley Fair (like across the street). Santana Row was filled with unique, ritzy shops that were all pretty expensive. Needless to say, I didn't buy anything. There was a cute little store called "Fiona" there, and the font they used for their sign even reminded me of a font Fiona would actually use.
I finally moved into my new apartment late on Friday night. After LSF, I drove down to Union City, loaded up the rest of my stuff and headed over to Redwood City. (I seem to like living in places with "city" in their names..it helps prevent me from forgetting that I live in a city and not a town or village or community.)
The Leonid meteor shower is back. Gonna go up to Berkeley and watch it with some people tomorrow night..gonna be a LONG night..with my sleeping habits, it's like I'm still in college or something.
