At work, we have what's called "journal club," where someone presents a recent article of interest to the group. It's at noon on Fridays, and being much like a meeting, I find it to be pretty darn boring (PDBing). I get PDBed when people begin to ask questions and "discuss" the articles because in the end, it didn't even really matter what was said..everybody generally goes away thinking the same thing they did going into it. The whole thing is a PDB.
Anyway, today was a mixed blessing. Journal club was only half an hour (as opposed to a full hour), which is cool, but being shorter, it didn't end up being long enough for me to fall asleep (I like sleep), which I generally do during these types of meetings.
