Starting this week, I've set a new goal to get slimmed down and more cut. (I like being strong, and I don't mind being "buff," but I'm not a big fan of being "big"..there IS a difference.) My target to get ripped will be accomplished by the healthy combination of dieting and exercise (not just one or the other but both are necessary!). Here's my plan:
Dieting:
Breakfast - cereal w/milk
Lunch - some type of salad or "light" sandwich
Dinner - low fat, sensible meal
(Overall, I need to cut caloric and fat intake in half or so...trust me, I used to eat way too much.)
Exercise:
Go to the gym twice a week, working out all major muscle groups (biceps, triceps, forearms, abs, back, pecs, delt, lats, trap, quads, and hamstrings) with various weight lifting (3 sets of 10-12 reps each).
Cardio exercise three times a week...one 20 minute run on a treadmill, one 2.5 mile run in the streets at night, and one 20 minute go at the crosstrainer.
By the time Christmas comes, I should be down to 150 pounds, fit in size 28/30 pants (waist/length), run long distances, lift immensely heavy objects, wash clothing on my abs, etc..=)
