I missed dinner tonight, but that's OK because I made up for it with ice-cream. Winston, Quen, and I split an Earthquake at Ghirardelli earlier tonight at Jenn's b-day gathering. It's a pretty big dessert platter featuring 8 scoops of ice-cream and your choice of 8 toppings. We had rocky road, cookies and cream, chocolate chip, cookie dough, strawberry, vanilla, and mint chocolate chip. Add to that chocolate sauce, hot fudge (which is just like chocolate sauce, but warm), raspberry syrup, pineapple syrup, bananas, chopped nuts, whipped cream, merichino cherries, and chocolate cable cars. Sounds good, huh? But that's until you start eating at it. It became one huge plate of cold sweetness. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but the flavors got all mixed-up and eventually, everything just tasted the same. Kat, Helen, and Jerm were smarter in that they didn't get the whipped cream.
